Here's an idea: Go get your freakin' cupcakes somewhere else!

So, Mike Pence, Indiana's popular Republican Governor, is being crucified by the lame-stream media today. In case you haven't heard, Mr. Pence and his fellow conservative legislators are "mean and intolerant".  And this new law aimed at protecting religious freedom and similar to twenty other state laws currently in effect, is "a road map, a path to discrimination." I mean, after all, this new law is totally against gays. Right....

Governor Pence and his supports are "antiquated", "stupid", "hateful", "out-of-touch", and "doing damage control". Oh, and "everyone should boycott Indiana".

Blah. Blah. Blah.

Seriously, this is getting so old.

Sex, Power and Heads that Roll...

"There is one thing higher than Royalty: and that is religion, which causes us to leave the world, and seek God." --Elizabeth I (King Henry VIII's daughter with Anne Boelyn)

Recently, I discovered Netflix.

And it makes my heart happy. Very, Very happy.

A couple of weeks ago, as I was browsing the awesomeness that is Netflix, I stumbled across a Showtime series called, "The Tudors".

The enjoyment I feel related to this, at times, very risque television series is almost embarrassing. If you have ever watched it, you know exactly what I am talking about. Think Charles Brandon and the Duke of Buckingham's daughter being interrupted by her father while they, hmmmm....were getting to know each other.

Yeah, yikes!

Seriously, some of the scenes make me blush fifty shades of red.

Our lunch date with a drag queen.

"Wisdom, compassion, and courage are the three universally recognized moral qualities of men."
My daughter attends a half day kindergarten. So, many days, I pick her up from school and we enjoy a Mommy/Daughter lunch date. And like most gals, we have our favorite eateries that we frequent when the men in our lives are detained by work and school.

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to have lunch at our most favorite place. It is a lovely, hometown place with great food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The waiter, whom we have had many times before, and had always proven wonderful, seated us and took our drink order.

Yes, he is effeminate. And yes, he seems to have taken an interest in me and my family when we patronize the restaurant. And yes, I know why.

"I say ISIS, you say NO!"

"It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." --Samuel Adams

Yesterday morning, we headed out from our downtown DC hotel in search for adventure. Ultimately, our destination was Lincoln's Memorial.

We meandered through the busy, crowded roadways of Washington DC and found ourselves within a few hundred yards of the White House.

As we came to a stop light, I noticed pedestrians, dozens of them, crossing the street in front of us carrying what appeared to be long, colorful, cylinder--somethings.

As we inched along the street, viewing the backside of the White House, I decided to roll my window down.

The day was cool and windy. After a few seconds of enjoying the fresh air, I began to hear the chanting.

"I say ISIS, you say No!" "ISIS! No!" "ISIS! No!"

Perhaps, at this point, we can't handle the truth.

"Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't goin' away." --Elvis Presley

Hillary Clinton is a liar. She has been lying to the American people for three decades. And if allowed, she will continue to lie to the American people if it serves her and her purposes. Trust me.

Hillary Clinton is an out-of-touch politician. She isn't capable of relating to us, the normal folk. She has been entrenched too deeply for far too long. She is the face of the Washington establishment. It's all she knows. She doesn't understand that it is difficult to make ends meet and that some of us really are smart enough to determine the course of our lives. Trust me, she doesn't get it, nor does she care.

So, University of California at Irvine, you banned the American flag. That's cute.

"If you aren't a liberal at twenty, you have no heart. If you aren't a conservative at forty, you have no brain." --Sir Winston Churchill

So, the student government of the University of California at Irvine voted to ban all flags from campus. All flags to include the American flag.

Isn't that cute?

Bless their hearts. Bless their poor, pitiful, ignorant hearts.

Sure, I have read their well written arguments against our fifty-starred national symbol.

Yep, I've read their youthful opinions about how our flag represents imperialism and colonialism. And how those historic associations deeply offend their misguided cores.

These chipper little academics from UC Irvine argued that banning all flags was necessary. Right. Fair.

Seriously, aren't they cute? Adorable, even?

And that's what a smackdown looks like.

"I can tell you this. The days when Jewish people remain passive in the face of genocidal enemies--those days are over."-- Benjamin Netanyahu

Okay, if you missed Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to Congress this morning, I highly encourage you to google and watch it!!

You missed an incredible example of strength and leadership.

You missed a passionate, devoted statesman standing before a crowd unapologetically verbalizing his nation's greatness.

You missed hearing a man sing his nation's praises, not apologize for their failures.

You missed hearing a plan, a real plan, for attaining stability in the Middle East.

Basically, you missed AWESOMENESS!!

Lord forgive us for what he has done. Amen.

"It is clear that he does not pray, who, far from uplifting himself to God, requires that God shall lower Himself to him, and who resorts to prayer not to stir the man in us to will what God wills, but only to persuade God to will what the man in us wills." --Thomas Aquanis

I wonder if President Obama prays?

And I don't mean in public, where there are cameras and reporters and donors and Congressional leaders. I am not talking about praying because a prayer is necessary to the event's agenda.

I am talking about real prayer. The kind of personal, quiet communion with God that takes place in the darkness and stillness of night. Or expressing prayers that are on the lips and in the hearts of believers when they first awaken in the early morning light.

I wonder if our Dear Leader spends his busy, scheduled days in an attitude of prayer?

You see, I don't think so.

And while I know that it will anger many of you that I am calling into question our Dear Leader's faith, I would argue that me questioning Obama's spirituality in the face of his egregious and immoral stances is no different or more offensive than liberals calling into question George W. Bush's intelligence because he spoke with a Texas accent.

Seriously, that criticism was offensive. Especially to those of us who had the enormous of privilege of being born and raised Texan and take tremendous pride in saying "y'all" and "fixin'" and believe that sweet tea is it's own unique and necessary food group.

Yep, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. (Oh, how I love that some of you will totally get that while others of you are scratching your heads wondering what in the world is a gander.)

Back to Obama...

Now, before some of you get your progressive panties in a wad, I don't think Obama is a Muslim. I don't believe he possesses a prayer mat and is secretly praying five times a day. Because, let's just be real, to be a Muslim would mean he would worship Allah and venerate Muhammad. It would mean studying, retaining and believing the Quran.

Nope, he is not a Muslim. Does he possess crazy, obvious sympathies for the Islamic faith, both moderate and radical? Yes. Abso-freakin-lutely! There is no doubt that he was influenced by the Muslim heritage of his life. There is no question that he possesses an affinity for those who worship Allah and Muhammad. He sees the Muslim religion as peaceful. Even though large portions of it have declared war on our nation. But no, I don't think he is a practicing Muslim.

Nor do I believe that Barack Hussein Obama is a Christian. Yeah, I know that he says he is and I have seen the precious few pictures of his head lowered, his eyes shut and even some with his hands lifted in a worshipful position. But I don't buy it. Because to be a Christian would mean he would worship the LORD and would have given his life to Jesus. It would mean knowing and believing the Bible and recognizing it as the inspired and infallible Word of God. A belief in Jesus Christ and a personal relationship with Him, would require Obama, like it does of all men, to be different, set apart.

And while it may make many of you uncomfortable or even angry, I am going to call it like I see it. I am going to base my conclusions regarding our Dear Leader and his faith, or lack thereof, on his behavior and his rhetoric. Call it judgement. Call it intolerance. Call it whatever you would like. I don't care. Because the truth is this: Christianity contradicts far too much of what Obama endorses. Therefore, a realistic reconciliation of what our Dear Leader sanctions and supports and the tenets of true Christian faith is at a minimum uncomfortable and in reality, quite impossible.
